Candace Parker, 6-4, Tennessee
First pick of the 2008 draft went to L.A. and by the looks of it, the Sparks were patiently waiting to make the announcement and hand Parker her pre-made #3 Sparks jersey.
The Sparks had 2 other picks including Tennessee guard, Shannon Bobbitt and Sharnee’ Zoll a guard from Virginia.
Sylvia Fowles, 6-6, LSU
The second overall pick goes to LSU center, Sylvia Fowles and the Chicago Sky. At 6-6, this big should be a force for Chicago.
With 2 other picks, the Sky squared away their guard position with Quianna Chaney a 5-11 guard from LSU and Angela Tisdale a 5-7 guard from Baylor.
Candice Wiggins, 5-11, Stanford
Third overall pick, Stanford guard Candice Wiggins, was chosen by Minnesota Lynx.
The Lynx had two other picks in the draft which included Nicky Anosike a forward/center from Tennessee and Charde Houston a forward from Connecticut.
