Teresa Edwards - 4 Time Olympic Gold Medalist

The most decorated Olympic basketball player on the planet, Teresa Edwards is the only U.S. basketball player to compete at five Olympic Games. She brought home gold medals from the 1984, 1988, 1996, and 2000 Olympic Games and a bronze medal from the 1992 Games in Barcelona.Edwards competed internationally for the United States 19 times throughout her career winning 14 gold medals. Edwards holds the designation of being both the youngest and oldest gold medalist for USA Women’s Basketball and is the only U.S female to earn a gold medal in four Olympic Games.

Edwards was voted USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year in 1987, 1990, 1996 and 2000. She has played and coached in both the American Basketball League and the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). She holds the record for most points scored in a single game in the American Basketball League - 46.
