WNBA Fan Clubs

Wednesday, Atlanta announced their picks from the league. They were able to select 13 players, one from each team. After a few trades and negotiations, this is the roster as it stands:

1. Carla Thomas, a forward from the Chicago Sky. She has played 1 year in the WNBA, averaging 2.5 ppg and 1.60 rpg in only 17 games played.
2. Erika DeSouza, a forward/center from the Connecticut Sun. DeSouza has played in the WNBA for 2 years and averaged 4.3ppg, 3 rpg and 53.4% from the field fro the 2007 season.
3. Katie Feenstra, a center from the Detroit Shock. Feenstra has played in the WNBA for 3 years and has averaged 5.2ppg and 4.10 rpg.
4. Roneeka Hodges, a guard from the Houston Comets. Hodges was one of the trades and will be going to Seattle for the veteran guard Iziane Castro Marques, who has played in the league for 5 years, averaging 10 ppg, 2 rpg, and 2 apg.
5. Ann Strother, a guard/forward from the Indiana Fever. Strother has played in the WNBA for 2 years and has averaged 2.3 ppg, 1.0 rpg, and.7 apg.
6. LaToya Thomas, a forward from the Los Angeles Sparks. The second trade negotiated, Thomas will go to the Detroit Shock for Ivory Latta, a promising point guard with 1 year in the WNBA.
7. Kristen Mann, a forward from the Minnesota Lynx. Mann has 3 years under her belt with 7.6 ppg, 3.60 rpg, and 1.3 apg.
   
8. Ann Wauters, a center from the New York Liberty. Wauters has 5 years in the WNBA as well as experience playing in Europe and Russia.
9. Jennifer Lacy, a guard from the Phoenix Mercury. Lacy has played in the WNBA for 2 years and has averaged 1.8 ppg, 1 rpg, .1 apg.
10. Kristin Haynie, a guard from the Sacramento Monarchs. Haynie has 3 years in the WNB with an average of 5.7 ppg, 1.70 rpg, and 2.0 apg.
11. Chantelle Anderson, a center from the San Antonio Silver Stars. Anderson has 5 years with the WNBA and an average of 2.8 ppg, 2.1 rpg, with a shooting average of 52.2% from the field.
12. Betty Lennox, a guard from the Seattle Storm. Lennox has 8 years with the WNBA and has averaged 18 ppg, 6.50 rpg and 2 apg.
13. Yelena Lauchanka, a center from the Washington Mystics. Lauchanka has 2 years with the WNBA and has averaged .7 ppg, .5 rpg and a field goal percentage of 16.7.

Over the next few weeks we can expect a few more changes and additions with the regular season draft and the free agency period where teams and player can negotiate contracts.
